Wordrake is a Microsoft-add on that provides editing control for the word processor. The software was created by Gary Kinder, a New York Times bestselling author.
According to the product description, Wordrake can edit 25 pages and suggest 200-300 improvements in one minute.
The software costs $129 for one year subscription. Check the developer’s website for more information.
Rather interestingly, most reviews of Wordrake are written by lawyers, although the developers’ profession, a writing expert to the American Bar Association, and other examples shown in the website suggest that the software is geared for legal language.
Here are three reviews that I found on the Internet.
WordRake, the First Editing Software for Lawyers (and Accountants) (a positive review)
Computers Can’t Write: A Review of Wordrake Editing Software for Lawyers (negative)
We Test WordRake’s Beta Version 2.0 on ‘McCutcheon’ (neutral)
