What I like about LivingWriter is that you can tell it’s a well-made piece of software after only a few minutes of using it.
The instant I started writing in dark mode with Living Writer, I recognized it was good software. As soon as I started writing, the sidebar vanished, and all I see is a blank screen. They devoted such close attention to detail.
LivingWriter is quite impressive. It has practically every component required for writing a book.
- In the sidebar, you can navigate through the chapters.
- The sidebar also displays characters and other components.
- The live instruction is quite useful and enlightening.
I can’t judge Living Writer from the standpoint of a novelist because I write nonfiction. However, I believe I could make good use of this software for non-fiction writing.
LivingWriter can be thought of as the successful online version of Scrivener. Of course, some of Scrivener’s finer subtleties are missing. Those characteristics will be nearly impossible to recreate online.
Using LivinigWriter, the draft can also be exported as an Amazon Manuscript. It is, however, only for a paperback book. It does not support exporting to popular Kindle ebook formats such as ePub.
Let us now discuss the price.
The monthly fee for Livingwriter is $8, if you buy a yearly subscription. For the average American, the price would be less than two cups of coffee.
LivingWriter is available for free for two weeks. The software is worth a shot.
